Barbara Metzger, daughter of Lee Reuter the Company Clerk, remembered Captain Hart.  "Think that when we visited him and he was retired he was Col. Hart and was living in Denver.  He and his wife had a nice little business going.  I remember them telling my parents that they would purchase a house which was in need of some tender loving care.  He would fix up the inside and his wife would improve the outside grounds and interior decor and sell for a nice profit and move on to another house.  Also remember that they had beautiful furnishings.  I would have been 11 or 12 and why I remember all this so clearly, I have no idea.  Col. Hart said it was a nice supplement to his pension.   Funny what one retains in one’s memory from one’s childhood."
