The funeral of Luke Minor Fish, Williams, was held Saturday, January 29, at Zion Lutheran Church of Warroad, with the Rev. Paul Gustafson officiating. Mr. Fish passed away Wednesday, January 26 at the Pioneer Home in Baudette.
Luke Minor Fish was born October 10, 1891 in Smith Lake, Minnesota, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Fish. He moved to Clear River, Minnesota in 1908, where he lived until he entered the military service during WWI. After his discharge, he came to the Warroad area where he made his home for many years. In 1967, he moved to Williams, where he lived until 1976, when he moved to the Pioneer Home in Baudette. He was married to Minnie Weisenhaus.
His lifetime occupation was farming, and he was a charter member of the Stillwater VFW and the Warroad American Legion.
Mr. Fish is survived by his wife, Minnie of Williams; seven sons, Norman Fish of Stillwater; Delbert Fish, Loren Fish and Leslie Fish of Warroad; Dennis Fish of Roosevelt, Duane Weisenhaus of Mundelein, Illinois and Roger Weisenhaus of Skokie, Illinois; three daughters, Mrs. John McLaughlin (Joy) of Warroad; Marlene Matelski of Williams and Mrs. Donald McBride (Beatrice) of Lake Worth, Florida, 49 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and one brother, William Fish, of Williams. |
