Shot Dead
A robber robbed a cigar store and fled down the steps of the elevated railroad, on 59th Street, near State Street. Confronted by a policeman, the villain fired several shots. But the policeman turned away and fatally wounded the robber with a couple of shots. He identified himself as Gus Bunkoye, of So. Chicago.
