Henry and Florence married on August 12, 1931. Hank, who would have been 36 at the time and working as the elevator man at the Chicago Daily News. Hank and Flo honeymooned in Louisville, Kentucky, at the Brown Hotel built in 1923 walking distance from the Ohio River. The two-night stay at the hotel set Henry back $12 for the extravagance.
